My Introduction!

Hi! My name is Rachel, and I'm 20.. almost 21. I am writing this blog in order to track my progress in becoming a healthier me! I am pretty short, only about 5'3 or so.. and in the past year I've put on a lot of weight. In 2010 I moved from Illinois to Florida to move in with my boyfriend (now husband) Sean.

I went from working 40+ hours a week to not having a job and laying around the house most of the day. My husband is in the navy so he works long hours, and it gets boring being home alone all day.. so when I was bored, I would eat. This lifestyle obviously has taken a toll on my overall health.. I am now weighing in at 213.8 lbs.. which isn't good, especially for my height!

So I've finally decided instead of just sitting around and whining about how I look, I'm going to do something about it! I've started dieting and exercising. Yay!! I'm taking things slowly, trying to get back into shape.. I've started walking 2 miles every morning.. and I honestly just feel better about myself.. I have a long way to go.. but  I know I can do this!
